Gist on SMALLZZ

SMALLZZ
Entertainment in Nigeria for years now had grown so much that it is one of the most talked about in the entertainment world. Many Nigerians are proving themselves in the entertainment world and got their names on tongues in every corner of the world.  Aside the movie industry, music have rapidly improved the entertainment world and artists like D'Banj, TuFace Idibia, Davido, BurnaBoy, Wizkid, Olamide, Reminisce, BaseOne, among others who I can't mention.

Just of recent, posts had been coming in about another act. A young and talented Yoruba rapper he is. The name is "SMALLZZ". SMALLZZ full name is "OGUNMUYIWA OLUWATOYIN ADEYEMI". He is an undergraduate of Sociology Department in Lagos State University (LASU) and in fact, source gave that he is will be finishing soon. SMALLZZ started his entertainment stuffs in the walls of LASU as a comedian and did cover some inter-school competitions in the school. SMALLZZ who is known as "TeeWhy" did not stop at comedy alone but proved himself even in the rap world that he is a pack of talent.

In his interview on 'Gist & Jive' with AY.DOT at OGBC 90.5FM, he told the world that a friend called and asked for a Yoruba and Ibo rapper to feature on a song and he said "I don't know of any Ibo rapper, but if you need a Yoruba rapper here I am" and the great work started from there. He did a song with ra'HYMN titled "Way Back (Mirror Cover)" telling their escapades on the street of Badagry in Lagos. Shortly after then he dropped a single titled "Orin Dafidi" produced by Black General. Barely a week after the release of this single, he came up with another song titled "Ibadi  E" on which he featured "Bobby" and this song also produced by Black General. When asked on the 'Gist & Jive' show of who had been motivating him, he was quoted saying "I love Ajasa, I have been a fan of Ajasa before Dagrin (RIP) came to limelight but the love for hip-hop grew when Dagrin stepped into the game". He did not stop at that. He also gave that he respects Olamide Baddoo, Reminisce 'Alaga', BaseOne and Seriki real much.

It was noticed that he can not do without mentioning D'Banj and TuFace in his songs and this was also noticed in his yet to drop single and he explained that "those duos are something else entirely, them be my godfathers and they motivate me much". Someone once took my pics for that of D'Banj and won't stop arguing till I gave evidence. There is this little resemblance especially when I have my glasses on but the difference is he is tall and I am short, he added. "Me and MI dey category for that one. SMALLZZ, an indigene of Ogun State said he intentionally made the interview at OGBC 90.5FM his first radio interview as a respect and love he has for his state of origin. When asked where he sees himself in the next 5 years, he said "5 years ke, in the next 2 years by GOD's grace I am everywhere".

If you have not listened to any of his song, you are still on a long thing as one of his godfathers says. Get the songs, download them, listen to them, and share to the world. Follow SMALLZZ on twitter @callmeSmallzz and can equally like his fan page on facebook at www.facebook.com/callmesmallzz
